We are Agnes & Jorge and we are professional photographers based in beautiful Salzburg, Austria. Agnes is from Salzburg, Austria and Jorge from Colombia. We met 12 years ago in Australia where we both studied photography. We fell in love, got married (10 years now) and the rest is history. We both work full time in the photography industry and on weekends we love to shoot weddings.
What we love about photography is that it lets you see those little moments that last split seconds. I'm Agnes and I grew up in beautiful Salzburg. Being out in nature most of my childhood I was always interested in the small things and how perspective (visually but also mentally) changes everything. I got my first camera for my 7th birthday and realized quickly that I had found a tool to make those small moments also visible for others.
As soon as I finished my final exams (Matura) I set out into the world. With nothing but a backpack and my camera I went traveling for a bit less than a year. I met so many incredible people along they way and I believe this was the year of my life I learnt the most. Different countries means different smells, colours, people, animals, landscapes - there is just so much to discover. And one thing I discovered was that I want to learn more about photography.
After my trip I decided to go to Australia to do a course in photography. I went to Melbourne and guess who was there waiting for me. One year ahead of me in the photography studies asking me to be his "model" for an assignment :) This was was beginning of "us".
We got married in the beautiful "Stille Nacht Kapelle" in Oberndorf, Salzburg. Just the two of us with our closest family members. It was so relaxed and easy going. A sunny day full of love and happiness :) Just like I would want if for any of you.
Of course we cound't stand still for too long. We went back to Australia and while I did a masters degree, Jorge worked in a portraiture and family photography studio.
Traveling so much makes you appreciate how beautiful home is. Especially when your home is Salzburg. We are back in Austria for 8 years now (married for 10). I work in an agency in Salzburg as a full time photographer and Jorge works as the lead of a photography department in another company. On weekends we are busy with weddings but Sundays are usually our "off" days where we love to go hiking, skiing, swim in the crystal clear lakes and anything else this beautiful country has to offer.
FAQ
How do you photograph weddings?
We love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. We usually meet for coffee so we can get to know each other and talk about everything. We are happy to give recommendations for organizing your day and plan with you together the best time for the couple session. We also have contacts of other wedding suppliers (flowers, cake, make-up, hair,...) should you need them.
On your wedding day, all we want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. We are easy going and most of the time we will try to be in the background capturing the moments as they happen. Sometimes we may direct you a little - move you to a spot with better light for instance.
The only thing you need to do is be there, be happy and the rest you can leave to us. We will pose you a little but mainly give you things to do so we can get candid and natural looking pictures.
Where are you based and do you travel?
We are based in Salzburg, Austria and yes, we love to travel! If you want us to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. But no worries, we always try to find the cheapest way to come.
Do you always shoot together?
We usually shoot together. Agnes is the main shooter in all weddings. In some cases it will be her and another second shooter. And sometimes it will be Agnes alone. It depends a bit on your wedding, number of guests ect. If you have a very small wedding with only 10 people, 2 photographers might feel a bit overwhelming for instance. We can decide together in a first phone call what makes sense for your individual wedding.
What is included?
Our wedding packages only vary in the time we spend shooting and the number of images you receive.
Everything else is the same for any wedding we shoot:
- Meeting in person or on the phone to get to know each other
- Location check before the wedding day
- No travel costs for weddings up to 100km from Salzburg
- Capturing your wedding day
- Selection and professional post processing of your images
- All selected images in high resolution jpg files in colour and black and white if requested
- Private online gallery from where you can download all images in high and low resolution and share them with your guests.
Are there any additional costs?
If your wedding is within 100km from Salzburg there are absolutely no additional costs to our package-prices. If your wedding is more than 100km away or even requires a flight we are happy to make you an individual offer.
Do you require a pre-payment?
If you would like to book us for your wedding we require a 20% pre-payment.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive a preview of your pictures within approximately 2 weeks as well as the invoice for the remaining amount. If your wedding takes place during the high season it may take 3 weeks, but usually we are faster. Once we are fully paid we will send you an online gallery link with all your photos. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and even order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
The number of images depends on how many hours you book us and what is happening on your wedding day. For a 12 hours wedding coverage, you will receive somewhere between 600 - 1000 fully edited images. We always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why we will choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story.
What happens if you get sick?
We will do anything possible to shoot a confirmed wedding and so far we have captured all the weddings we were booked for. A small cold won't stop us and it is very unlikely that we both get sick at the same time. Should it really ever happen, that we both are physically unable to shoot a confirmed wedding due to higher powers we will do our best to find a suitable replacement. We have a large network of other wedding photographers (also couples) who we could contact in such a situation.
Will you use our images on your website?
Only if we get permission from you to do so. After we deliver the images we will ask you if we may use them on our website and instagram. If you prefer to keep them offline we will of course respect this.
